From October 2019 to June 2020, IDEA ran a contract transparency program in the water management sector in Bantul district. In running this program, IDEA involved community groups, especially poor women and people with disabilities. This program aims to increase transparency in the procurement of goods/services in clean water management in Bantul Regency. In addition, this program also encourages residents to get good quality water management.
In addition to the recommendation for institutionalizing monitoring and evaluation in the clean water governance cycle, IDEA also submitted a recommendation to the Bantul district government to “Build Public Participation in Clean Water Governance in Bantul District”. We summarize these recommendations in the following policy brief.
