"The cold temperature of Dlingo village suddenly became warm when participants started to taste wedang uwuh and were entertained by local dance drama art"
Tonight, like most nights in August, the south wind begins to show its characteristic, cold, piercing to the joints of the bones. In the corners of the city of Yogyakarta, the night temperature can reach 17 C.
In another corner, a number of groups were seen rushing towards the small buses lined up in front of the mosque of the DIY Governor's Office Complex. More than 200 groups had just attended the last series of discussions on the first day of the 2017 Greget Desa National Workshop. This time they would depart for Dlingo village, a village located at an altitude of 320 meters above sea level. It took 1 hour of travel to reach the location. The roads that are usually used are JL. Imogiri, Jl. Wonosari, and Piyungan. All of these roads have their own paths and challenges, because they have to pass through many sharp bends and steep climbs.
As is known, Dlingo village hosted the implementation of the 2017 Greget Desa National Workshop. As one of the villages that implements accountability in its governance, Dlingo village is the right place to host this grand event about the village. All day long, the participants involved participated in discussions with six different topic studies. It appeared that night, when they arrived in Dlingo village, most of the participants looked tired with a tired expression. However, the warm welcome from the villagers in each homestay slightly cured the tiredness. Moreover, the series of events that night were in the form of local art entertainment from Dlingo village.
In the village hall, right at the entrance for participants, there was a display of local snacks such as nuts and tubers complete with wedang Uwuhnya. The strains of gamelan and drums that sounded in response added to the warmth and serenity of the evening atmosphere in the village hall. The participants who had rested, bathed and had dinner were picked up by a rabbit train that had been provided. One by one, after arriving at the village hall, they began to occupy the chairs provided in rows.
"Welcome to our village, Dlingo Giriloji village, this is how our village is, hopefully all of you will be pleased with the presentation and welcome from us," said the Head of Dlingo village, Bachrun Wardoyo, welcoming the participants who were present.
The speech also opened the implementation of the Greret Desa National Workshop in Dlingo Village. After the village head's speech, participants began to enjoy snacks and warm wedang while being entertained by Sandratari with her melodious gamelan music. [AH]
